Our current design methodologies lack the nuance to understand and design for women’s lived experiences. In fact, they often exacerbate the inequities that women experience. They let us forget about women.

In its current version, Women-Centric Design shares two core tools. The tools include practical examples, questions, and application exercises, all crafted to guide you through problem-definition & project scoping, design research, insights synthesis, ideation, prototyping, and implementation.

Women-Centric Design is a toolkit supporting design and impact practitioners to build products, services and systems that truly serve women. This project is and always will be a work in progress. Women-Centric Design is currently in beta version 1.0.
Unconform is founded by Mansi Gupta, a designer and researcher with several years of experience leading women’s focused projects in healthcare, finance, tech, education, primarily in the Global South. Her project experience and observation that there is potential for more cross-learning in this space drove the creation and development of Women Centric Design.
